A naturally occurring sport of the popular 'Rozanne', 'Azure Rush' keeps that parent's near-continuous bloom but in a more compact, tidier mound — pale lavender-blue flowers with dark purple whiskering open non-stop from late spring into fall. Its scrambling-but-restrained habit fills gaps between shrubs and taller perennials without swamping neighbors the way some hardy geraniums do.
It asks for little: even moisture, average soil, and an occasional shear if bloom slows in high summer heat. Foliage stays attractive all season and often takes on russet tones in fall.
Fungal leaf spot
Brown or purplish spots on the leaves, often ringed with a yellow halo, that spread and merge in warm, humid, or wet weather; heavily spotted leaves yellow and drop early.
Pick off spotted leaves and clear fallen debris to remove overwintering spores. Improve air circulation by thinning, and water at the base so foliage dries quickly. If it persists, apply a copper- or sulfur-based fungicide at the first sign.
