Your card
Payments are handled by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers; we don’t see or store them. Stripe keeps your card on file to bill your subscription. The “Save my information” option on that page is optional and doesn’t affect your subscription. You can update your card or cancel from your profile.
What we collect
- Contact details
- Your email and name, when you subscribe, join the newsletter, take the quiz with your email, or write to us.
- Location
- Your zip code and the hardiness zone we look up from it, so care timing fits your yard. We don’t ask for your street address.
- Your garden
- The plants, beds and notes you save, and your quiz answers.
- Email preferences
- Which newsletters and topics you’ve chosen.
- Billing
- Your plan and subscription status. Card details stay with our payment processor (see above).
- Account protection
- Limited information from our payment processor that helps us prevent misuse of free trials and referral rewards. It can’t be used to charge a card or reveal your card number.
- Referrals
- If you use a referral link, who referred whom and any credit earned.
- What you send us
- Messages through the contact form.
Who helps us run the site
Trusted service providers handle information on our behalf, only to do these jobs.
- Payments

- Running the site
- Hosting, database and sign-in providers store your account and garden.
- Email providers send newsletters, your digest, and account emails.
- Analytics and advertising
- Google and Pinterest help us understand which pages are used and which ads bring people to the site.
- Personalisation
- Services that help tailor your digest receive garden details such as your zone and plants, not your name or email.
